About Kyoto Teriyaki

Serving Seattle Since 2010

Years ago, the founders of Kyoto Teriyaki, Young Lee and Jung Hee-Lee, were heavily involved in the food industry and started a traditional Korean cuisine restaurant called “Shilla” in Canada. There they served authentic Korean meals and had their staff wear traditional Korean outfits called “hanbok”. During their time in Canada, Young Lee created a spicy sauce that was used on a variety of dishes, including the spicy chicken and spicy beef that are still on the menu today. After moving to Seattle, the couple purchased Kyoto Teriyaki, adding more Korean items to the menu as a nod to their heritage.

Our fusion menu incorporates flavors and ingredients from across Asia. We make our dishes with high-quality ingredients and our signature twist. Join us in Seattle to enjoy our unique Asian fusion cuisine.

What customers are saying

SO GOOD. Got the Yook Gae Jang and rice and it was DELISH and piping hot. Not too spicy at all, a 2/5 I would say. I would totally recommend

Our experience here were pretty good. The food came out fast and good. We ordered the combinations, chicken & Tempura. Their tempura includes potato, sweet potato, cauliflower, and carrot. I love their tempura. They have Japanese and Korean food, I would like to try all of them.

The food here is good for its price and the service is quick. I usually get the curry katsu or the beef fried rice, sometimes something from their Korean menu. The owners are so consistent, sweet, and genuinely kind! They're one of the main reasons why I keep coming back.

I can't figure out why this spot doesn't have a higher rating. I haven't had a bad dish yet. I alternate between the "make it spicy" tofu teriyaki, miso soup, and the regular chicken breast teriyaki. The teriyaki sauce comes packaged on the side for to go food and has such a great kick. The chicken was a hammered thin breast and tons of it. It's BY FAR my favorite teriyaki in Seattle. When you "make it spicy" be prepared to eat spicy. It was the spiciest thing I've ever eaten. Our orders are also ALWAYS correct. We order it on doordash at least once a week!
